Joint Applied Mathematics and Statistics Seminar 8.12

The Applied Mathematics and Statistics Seminar continues

Speaker: Henri Pesonen

Title:  “What are you looking at?”

Abstract: Eye tracking is an unobtrusive technique where the position of the eye is captured e.g. using light sources and cameras.  It is a tool used to study topics such as cognitive processes, neurological development and attention with applications in psychology, psycholinguistics, marketing and neuroscience.  In this talk we present the specific metrics and statistical models of eye tracking application and illustrate the methodology by analysing the performance of early stage Parkinson’s patients and control subjects in a double-step saccade test.
