Newton-type methods for solving Stokes and Navier-Stokes problems with nonlinear slip boundary conditions – Vladimir Arzt
The presentation describes the application of two Newton-type methods to solve the Stokes and Navier-Stokes problems with a nonlinear stick-slip boundary condition. The first method is an active-set implementation of the semismooth Newton method, and the second one is the SCD (Subspace Containing Derivative) semismooth Newton method, which solves the generalized equation. As an application, shape optimization problems are presented.
